TENDER DESCRIPTION

For the supply of electric power to the contact line of the electrified railway, single-phase power transformers of type TMUS-NS 16 MVA are installed in the railway traction substations. These transformers, which are intended exclusively for use in this type of installation, have exceeded their normal service life, having been mounted at the construction of the substations during the electrification period of the railway sections. Many of the mentioned transformers operate at the minimum limit of their characteristics and no longer ensure safety in operation, being repaired only incidentally in case of minor defects, by replacing damaged parts whenever possible. Many of these transformers are taken out of service due to major internal defects, and their repair can only be done in factory conditions, at very high costs. The main causes of defects occurring in these transformers include the decrease of internal insulation resistance below the permissible limit, internal short circuits, deterioration of sealing elements (gaskets, valves, pipes, etc.), as well as the gradual reduction over time of the dielectric properties of the insulating oil.
