    TENDER DESCRIPTION

    The Energy Recovery and Treatment Unit (UTVE) for household waste from Lyon Sud is operated in-house by the Waste Department of the Lyon Metropolis, with a workforce of around 65 people. The unit was commissioned in 1990 and operates 365 days per year, 24 hours a day. The unit currently processes approximately 250,000 tonnes of waste per year. The purpose of this consultation is the transport, processing, and recovery in road engineering materials of incinerator bottom ash from the UTVE of the Lyon Sud waste. Incineration bottom ash from non-hazardous waste (MIDND) is slag resulting from the extraction of solid materials from the furnace outlet of non-hazardous waste thermal treatment facilities (municipal solid waste, rejects from sorting selective collection packaging). The contract will include the following services: -Providing, on a just-in-time basis, a means of transport by waterway under the loading system adapted to berth no. 2 of the Port Édouard Herriot, with an alternative option by trucks for the first four months of the contract and then as backup for very specific, occasional periods, subject to agreement from the Lyon Metropolis; -Transport of the bottom…
