TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Contracting Authority (CA) operates a heating plant at the site Frankfurter Straße 100 in Darmstadt. Heat is generated primarily by the nearby municipal waste incineration combined heat and power plant (hereinafter “MHKW”), supplied to the heating plant and then distributed further from there. Due to a current conversion at the MHWK, more heat can be made usable in the future. To take advantage of this potential, new district heating pipeline systems will be constructed between the heating plant, the MHKW and further supply areas. For commercial, organisational and operational reasons, the overall project is divided into a North construction phase (Part 3.1) and a South construction phase (Part 3.2). In doing so, the civil engineering and pipeline works in the North construction phase and in the South construction phase are tendered separately. The supplies and associated services for the plastic carrier pipe laying system (KMR) are tendered jointly for both construction phases.
