TENDER DESCRIPTION
The contracting authority (CA) operates a heating plant at the site Frankfurter Straße 100 in Darmstadt. The heat is generated primarily by the nearby municipal waste incineration plant (hereinafter “MWIP”/“MHKW”), delivered to the heating plant and further distributed from there. Due to a current conversion at the MWIP/MHKW, more heat will be made usable in future. To exploit this potential, new district heating pipelines will be constructed between the heating plant, the MWIP/MHKW and other supply areas. For commercial, organisational and operational reasons, the overall project is divided into a Northern construction phase (sub-plot 3.1) and a Southern construction phase (sub-plot 3.2). Accordingly, the excavation and pipework construction activities in the Northern construction phase and the Southern construction phase are tendered separately. The supplies and associated services for the plastic jacket pipe laying system (PJP) are tendered together for both construction phases.
