TENDER DESCRIPTION

Concrete sleepers are used on railways for the construction of the superstructure, specifically for mounting rails on sleepers via fastenings. Concrete sleepers absorb the dynamic loads from the rail and transmit them to the track prism. Due to the stresses they endure in service from the forces exerted by rolling stock in circulation as well as climatic operating conditions, concrete sleepers wear out, no longer ensuring a firm fastening of the rails, which negatively affects the track gauge. Failure to ensure a firm fastening of the rails can lead to serious malfunctions of the track superstructure. To prevent such malfunctions, isolated or successive replacement of worn concrete sleepers of various types with new ones is necessary. The continuous operation of railway lines is ensured by maintaining the components of the running track and their geometric condition parameters within the permissible tolerances stipulated in the CFR service instructions and regulations.
