TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Langen wastewater treatment plant is to be expanded by a 4th treatment stage for the elimination of trace substances. Based on a long-term research project at the wastewater treatment plant, a process combination of cloth filtration and activated carbon filtration was selected. In preparation for changing requirements for treatment performance, provision is also to be made for the possibility of a later expansion by ozonation. The hydraulic connection to the existing facilities is provided via an intermediate lift pumping station, which conveys the effluent from conventional wastewater treatment into the new treatment stage and will henceforth function as a floodwater pumping station. This procurement awards the cloth filtration. Further information can be found in the present bill of quantities as well as in the contract documents.
