TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Langen wastewater treatment plant is to be expanded by an additional 4th treatment stage for the elimination of micropollutants. Based on a long-term research project at the plant, a process combination consisting of cloth filtration and activated carbon filtration was selected. In preparation for changing requirements for treatment performance, provision is also to be made for the option of a later expansion to include ozonation. The hydraulic connection to the existing facilities is provided via an intermediate pumping station, which will convey the effluent from conventional wastewater treatment into the new treatment stage and will henceforth function as a floodwater pumping station. With this contract, cloth filtration is being put out to tender. Further information can be found in the present bill of quantities as well as in the contract documents.
