U5 Verlängerung Frankfurter Berg Freianlagenplanung

TENDER DESCRIPTION

Open space planning for the project to extend the U5 tram line between the Preungesheim station and the Frankfurter Berg S-Bahn station. As part of the project, the U5 tram line is to be extended from the existing Preungesheim station by approx. 1.5 km with two stations in side locations, up to the future terminus at Frankfurter Berg. In parallel to the new alignment, the roads, footpaths and cycle paths will also be reorganised. As part of the open space planning, high-quality greening of the road verge as well as the green tracks envisaged in some sections are to be planned and implemented. In the sense of the “Frankfurt adaptation strategy to climate change – 2.0”, the road space is to be adapted more strongly to climate change, with particular importance attached to the preservation and replanting of street trees, the optimisation of their locations and the creation of lush road verge greening.
