TENDER DESCRIPTION

Naturstyrelsen Storstrøm invites tenders for a grazing agreement at Holmegaard Mose, Næstved. The grazing area comprises 20 - 40 ha depending on the number of animals supplied. The grazing season runs from 1 April to 30 September, both days inclusive. The tender includes grazing with sheep on two main areas as well as two smaller sub-areas. The purpose of the grazing is to promote the formation of raised bog and to combat undesirable species such as common reed (tagrør), matgrass (blåtop), Japanese knotweed (japanpileurt), and downy birch (dunbirk). The contract is awarded for 5 years with for one extension for an additional 5 years on unchanged terms.
