TENDER DESCRIPTION

The dike association in Brede Ådalen ("Digelaget") is a local association responsible for maintaining and securing dikes along Brede Å in order to prevent flooding of the adjacent agricultural areas and river valleys. The work carried out by the dike association therefore most often consists in maintaining the dike crests and slopes in order to ensure stability against water pressure. The dike association now wishes to reinforce the existing Ballum Dike, over the stretch from the Rømø Dam and southwards to Vesterende, which totals approx. 7,500 metres, with clay and sand. The work will also include excavation and shaping of an area of water (pits/lakes) in connection with the extraction of the sand and clay deposits used for the Ballum Dike. On this basis, the dike association wishes to enter into one works contract (the "Contract") with a single fixed lump-sum contract price without any possibility of adjustment for quantity deviations. The contractor bears the quantity risk.
