Midwaste reference: 2026/MW/PV/11 Assignment This public procurement relates to carrying out sorting analyses of various household waste streams within the operating area of the contracting authorities affiliated to it. The sorting analyses are intended as an instrument to gain insight into the composition and quality of the various waste streams. The results support the contracting authorities in monitoring and evaluating waste policy, identifying developments, and identifying opportunities for improvement in waste separation and collection of raw materials. To be able to compare the results of the different contracting authorities with one another properly (benchmarking), it is important that the sorting analyses are carried out and reported in a uniform manner. Therefore, this procurement includes requirements for the methodology, the classification of the waste components, and the way in which reporting is to take place. This must lead to unambiguous, consistent and comparable reports that can be analysed both per contracting authority and at collective level.
