TENDER DESCRIPTION

The city of Straelen plans on the Katharinen Primary School campus at Fontanestraße the construction of a new two-storey year-level building (JGH GFA 5,573 m²) as well as a two-storey administration wing (GFA 2,944 m²) as an annex to the existing school building (constructed in 1969 and 1992). Both new buildings will be built using timber frame construction. The year-level building is intended for cross-school use within the primary school and comprises teaching as well as full-day spaces for the Open All-Day School (OGS) and the reliable half-day (VHT). The administration wing will primarily be used by the OGS teaching staff. To connect to the existing building, two connecting corridors will be constructed, linking the administration wing directly with the existing building sections. The construction project aims to improve the spatial and organizational situation of the Katharinen Primary School and to accommodate the increasing number of students.
