TENDER DESCRIPTION

The City of Nuremberg and VAG are jointly planning the redevelopment and functional reorganization of the Plärrer in order to restructure the available space, make a contribution to improving the urban climate, make use of public transport more comfortable, and create an appealing transfer and stay location. As one of the first measures, the overhead line system of Steinbühler Straße as well as on the so-called small Plärrer island—i.e., the green area between the intersection of Gostenhofer Hauptstraße – Ludwigstor / Spittlertorgraben across the Plärrer—will be rebuilt. The measure includes the removal and replacement of approximately 340 m of overhead line equipment, of which approximately 35 m will be used as a temporary facility during the construction period. This temporary facility serves to connect the section of track to be renewed to the existing tracks on the large Plärrer island and will be removed again at a later point once this area has been redeveloped.
