TENDER DESCRIPTION

Rail line 1120 connects the two Hanseatic cities of Hamburg and Lübeck. It is one of the most important connections between Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg and forms part of the freight transport corridor from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. To improve the condition of the facilities, DB InfraGO AG will therefore carry out renewal and maintenance measures for tracks, points, line and signalling technology, overhead lines, structural civil engineering structures (bridges, culverts and retaining walls), as well as traffic facilities and noise barriers as part of a general refurbishment during a total shutdown lasting just under 6 months in the second half of 2028. In advance, cable trench construction work and, among other things, upgrading of a stabling yard in Bad Oldesloe will take place starting in September 2026.
