TENDER DESCRIPTION

Railway line 1120 connects the two Hanseatic cities of Hamburg and Lübeck. It is one of the most important connections between Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg and forms part of the freight transport corridor from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. To improve the condition of the facilities, DB InfraGO AG therefore plans to carry out renewal and maintenance measures on tracks, points, signalling and control systems, overhead lines, structural civil engineering structures (bridges, culverts and retaining walls), as well as traffic facilities and noise barriers as part of a general refurbishment during an almost 6-month total shutdown in the second half of 2028. In advance, cable deep excavation works, among other things, and an upgrade of a stabling yard facility in Bad Oldesloe are scheduled to take place starting from September 2026.
