TENDER DESCRIPTION

Rail line 1120 connects the two Hanseatic cities of Hamburg and Lübeck. It is one of the most important connections between Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg and forms part of the freight transport corridor from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. To improve the condition of the facilities, DB InfraGO AG will therefore carry out renewal and maintenance measures on tracks, points, overhead line and signalling and safety technology, overhead lines, and on structural civil engineering works (bridges, culverts and retaining walls), as well as traffic installations and noise protection walls as part of a general renovation during a nearly 6-month total shutdown in the second half of 2028. In advance, from September 2026, cable trench works and, among other things, an upgrade of a stabling yard facility in Bad Oldesloe will take place. In this invitation to tender, DB InfraGO AG awards the associated construction supervision service in several lots.
