TENDER DESCRIPTION

Project description: The State Building Authority of Saarland plans the renovation of listed university building A1 3 on the campus of the University of Saarbrücken. Building A1 3 is part of the protected ensemble of the former barracks buildings, built in the years 1937 - 1939. Through the gate building A1 4, it is structurally connected to building A1 5 and forms the central access to the campus. The building is currently used by user groups of the Department of Psychology, including a psychological outpatient clinic. The UG and EG are accessible at ground level. The building has 3 upper floors, a partially detached basement, and a converted attic. Within the building, the floors are connected to each other via a stairwell; however, they are not accessible without barriers. The building dimensions are approximately 17 m in width and 40 m in length. Inside the building, partial renovations and repairs have been carried out in recent years (including: fitting out a seminar room in the basement, modernisation of the sanitary facilities); nevertheless, the façade, windows and roof are inevitably in need of renovation.
