TENDER DESCRIPTION

Project description: The State Building Authority of Saarland plans the renovation of the listed university building A1 3 on the campus of the University of Saarbrücken. Building A1 3 is part of the protected ensemble of the former barracks buildings, built in the years 1937 - 1939. Via the gate building A1 4, it is structurally connected to building A1 5 and forms the central access to the campus. The building is currently used by user groups of the Department of Psychology, including a psychological outpatient clinic. UG and EG (lower ground floor and ground floor) are accessible at ground level. The building has 3 upper storeys, a partially detached basement and a converted attic. Inside the building, the floors are connected to each other via a stairwell, but they are not accessible in a barrier-free manner. The building dimensions are approximately 17 m in width and 40 m in length. In recent years, partial renovations and repairs have been carried out inside the building (including fitting out a seminar room in the basement/UG, modernisation of the sanitary facilities); however, the façade, windows and roof urgently require renovation.
