TENDER DESCRIPTION
The state of Baden-Württemberg, represented by Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg, the University Building Office Stuttgart and Hohenheim, intends to carry out the replacement construction of a teaching and research building for the Faculty of Biotechnology at the University of Stuttgart campus at the Vaihingen site. The construction site is located at Allmandring 29, in immediate vicinity to Allmandring 31, where further biotechnology institutes already exist. The new building includes laboratory and office space for research and teaching, as well as a botanical experimental station with greenhouse areas and climate chambers. In addition, the existing animal husbandry will be consolidated in the new building from Allmandring 31 and Pfaffenwaldring 57. This replacement construction project forms the 1st construction phase. At the northern edge of the construction site, an existing utility supply channel of the university grounds runs through the area; it will be covered over and secured by appropriate structural works. This invitation to tender includes earthworks/demolition/retaining works for the construction of the replacement building for the Faculty of Biotechnology.
