TENDER DESCRIPTION

The State of Baden-Württemberg, represented by Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg, the University Building Office Stuttgart and Hohenheim, intends to build a replacement new teaching and research building for the Faculty of Biotechnology on the University of Stuttgart campus at the Vaihingen site. The construction site is located at Allmandring 29, in immediate proximity to Allmandring 31, where further biotechnology institutes are already located. The new building will include laboratory and office space for research and teaching, as well as a botanical experimental station with greenhouse areas and climate chambers. In addition, the existing animal husbandry facilities from Allmandring 31 and Pfaffenwaldring 57 will be consolidated in the new building. This replacement newbuild constitutes Phase 1 of construction. At the northern edge of the construction site, an existing utility supply canal of the university premises runs through, which will be covered and secured by corresponding structural measures.
