TENDER DESCRIPTION

Technical suitability assessment must be carried out for recycled materials to be used in projects of Väylävirasto and the Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ely-keskukset). According to the guidance “Use of recycled materials in transport infrastructure construction”, for the use of recycled materials in Väylävirasto’s and the elinvoimakeskukset’ transport infrastructure projects, either a general technical suitability assessment by Väylävirasto or a project-specific technical suitability assessment is required. The technical suitability assessment is a requirement set by the client for the transport infrastructure project, with the aim of ensuring the functionality of structures and the safe use of materials. In Väylävirasto, an expert group operates that is responsible for technical suitability assessments of recycled materials. This procurement concerns the expert services to be purchased to support this assessment work for the years 2027-2029, and as an option for the years 2030 and 2031.
