TENDER DESCRIPTION
Binnengasthuis 5 is a national heritage building in the University Quarter in Amsterdam. It is a U-shaped building from the late 19th century with extensions from the 1960s and 1980s in the central area. The Binnengasthuis is the former hospital in the city center of Amsterdam. Since the hospital moved to Amsterdam Zuidoost, the building has been used as a university building. The total size of the current configuration is approximately 8,200 m2 GFA. The UvA intends to renovate and make the entire building future-proof and sustainable, whereby part of the 1980s extension, approximately 300 m2 GFA, will be demolished. Connection to a WKO network to be constructed will significantly contribute to sustainability. The building is currently under vacancy management.
