TENDER DESCRIPTION

The instrument service operations of the North Karelia Welfare Area are centralized to two (2) sites in the Joensuu area, the central hospital and the Siilainen instrument services. The procurement seeks one (1) trolley washer for each of the two instrument service centers. A trolley washer will be acquired for the Siilainen instrument service immediately during 2026, and a device will be acquired for the central hospital during 2027 as an option. The contracting authority does not commit to purchasing a certain number of devices; procurements will be made according to the contracting authority's needs and available budget. Approximately 151,000 instruments and instrument sets are serviced annually in the central hospital's instrument services. The instrument service provides services to 14 operating rooms, all departments of the central hospital, outpatient clinics, procedure units, and dental emergency services. Instrument services operate on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Siilainen instrument service maintains multi-purpose instruments for the entire North Karelia region.
