TENDER DESCRIPTION

The project for the network supplementary measure 17 (NeM17) is necessitated by the infrastructure requirements for the outer branches of the existing S-Bahn network, which result from the operating programme to be implemented as of the commissioning of the 2nd S-Bahn trunk line. With the 2nd S-Bahn trunk line, the construction of a new double-track S-Bahn line, starting at München-Laim passenger station and ending in the München-Leuchtenbergring station section, including the intermediate stopping points Hauptbahnhof Bahnhofplatz, Marienhof and Ostbahnhof, is pursued as an overall project. To ensure the feasibility of the operating programme, a second track is built on the east side of the existing tracks between Hp Steinebach and Bf Seefeld-Hechendorf. The track facilities, engineering structures and the technical equipment are adapted or expanded for the double-track operation. The project scope also includes barrier-free access to the Steinebach transport station. Furthermore, noise protection measures are included between Bf Weßling and Bf Herrsching.
