TENDER DESCRIPTION

The project for Network Supplementary Measure 17 (NeM17) is necessitated by the infrastructure requirements for the outer sections of the existing S-Bahn network, which result from the operating programme to be implemented from the time the 2nd S-Bahn main line is put into operation. With the 2nd S-Bahn main line, the construction of a new two-track S-Bahn line is being pursued as an overall project, beginning at the passenger station München-Laim and ending at the München-Leuchtenbergring station section, including the intermediate stopping points Hauptbahnhof Bahnhofplatz, Marienhof and Ostbahnhof. To ensure the feasibility of the operating programme, a second track is built on the eastern side of the existing line between the Hp Steinebach and the Bf Seefeld-Hechendorf. The track facilities, engineering structures and technical equipment will be adapted and/or extended for the two-track configuration. The scope of the project also includes barrier-free access to the Steinebach transport station. In addition, noise protection measures are provided between the Bf Weßling and the Bf Herrsching.
