TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Zweckverband Breitbandversorgung Steinburg (hereinafter ZVBS or contracting authority) aims to equip its association area, with the help of funding from the federal government and the state of Schleswig-Holstein, with a comprehensive, sustainable, future-proof, and high-performance broadband network (gigabit network). To this end, the services for the delivery and construction of this network are contracted out to external contractors. The ZVBS is a public law corporation, founded in 2010, and comprises a total of 98 municipalities from 7 offices of the Steinburg district, forming the association area. The core areas of the association area are already largely developed, and even in the outer areas, 880 of the 1,100 properties have already received a fiber optic connection. In order to supply all households in the association area in the future with a high-performance fiber optic network, densifications continue to take place in the core areas, and further expansion in the outer areas is being actively pursued.
