TENDER DESCRIPTION

As the contracting authority, BEHALA intends to award winter maintenance services to ensure traffic and operational safety under wintry weather conditions across the entire operating site of the Berlin Wholesale Market and the adjacent areas, in particular on the properties with increased traffic frequency. The objective of this tender procedure is, on the basis of the tender documents, to assign the performance of winter maintenance for the period from 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2030 to a qualified service provider under a contract initially for four years, and thereafter multiple extension options within the meaning of a framework contract for a duration contract. The subject matter of the services to be provided by the bidder commissioned within the scope of this tender procedure is essentially the proper clearing and salting/sanding of snow, ice, and slippery conditions on the contractually relevant areas in accordance with the Berlin Roads Act (Berliner StrG) and the specifications of services (Leistungsverzeichnis).
