TENDER DESCRIPTION
Project description New construction of the HI-TAC / CMRA research and laboratory building Subproject HI-TAC With the aim of promoting and intensifying cardiovascular research in Germany through new cooperative and coordinating instruments, scientists from the University of Heidelberg made contact with the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin in 2019. From this, a concept was developed to jointly establish the "Helmholtz Institute for Translational AngioCardioScience" HI-TAC. On the building plot "Schafweide," near the University Hospital Mannheim, a modern research building with an area of 2,121 m² NRW 1-6 is to be constructed. Highly equipped laboratory spaces for medical research, biological wet laboratories of class S1/S2, as well as modern office spaces, meeting and communication areas for about 120 people are planned. Currently, 5 above-ground floors plus a technical attic floor are planned with a gross floor area (GFA) of approximately 5,000 m² in total.
