Since 2018, the Delme Klinikum Delmenhorst (DKD) has been the successor of the former Klinikum Delmenhorst and the former St. Josef-Stift Delmenhorst, merged under the umbrella of the Josef-Hospital Delmenhorst (JHD) since 2015. The DKD is municipally sponsored by the city of Delmenhorst. A new, ultra-modern hospital building is currently being constructed on the hospital grounds (planned commissioning mid-2027) as an important basis for a strong and shared future, ensuring not only the inpatient healthcare provision for Delmenhorst.
