TENDER DESCRIPTION

The listed structures of the stand-alone railway line “Bergbahn Heidelberg” will be refurbished in the area of Schloss station, for which the road concerned must be completely shut off or narrowed to one lane each time. These are, in the uphill direction of travel the structure for Schloßberg City Road (structure 6, parts 6.1 and 6.2) the structure for Neue Schloßstraße (structure 8, parts 8.1 and 8.2) and the structure for the Schloß-Wolfsbrunnenweg (structure 10). In addition, the structural parts 7.1 and 7.2 (retaining walls and stair structure) between Schloßberg City Road and Neue Schloßstraße will be modernised outside the roadway space. The forecourt of the Schloss site can be reached either via the very steep and paved Schloßberg road or via the actual access road Neue Schloßstraße. Since the Schloß access road must also be ensured permanently throughout the entire construction measure, in the first step structures 6.1 and 6.2 will be modernised (construction phase 1 with Schloßberg road shut off) and only after completion of these works will structure 8 be modernised (construction phase 2 with Neue Schloßstraße shut off).
