TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Translation Directorate (AVT) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a need to procure services for the translation of texts with a high risk of adverse consequences from Dutch into English. A high risk of adverse consequences means that, given the nature and content of the texts, incompetent translation may lead to a breach of security, to financial and/or legal damage for the Dutch State, to political damage in the Netherlands or abroad, or to damage to the image of the Netherlands abroad. Based in part on experience figures from the past few years and the expected future need, the size of the Contract has been estimated. The estimated value of the Contract amounts on average to € 100.000, -- exclusive of VAT per year; therefore € 400.000,-- exclusive of VAT over a contract duration of four years.
