TENDER DESCRIPTION

The recovery of bituminous roofing felt (coal tar-containing and tar-containing products) from private households in the state capital Magdeburg is being tendered. Due to the stated origin, it cannot be ruled out that the collected waste is additionally contaminated with carcinogenic fibres (asbestos/KMF). For this reason, the contracting authority, prior to disposal, carries out an analytical verification for the containers eligible for disposal as to a possible additional contamination with carcinogenic fibres. The analytical verification is carried out in accordance with VDI Guideline 3866, Part 5, Appendix B, by a suitably accredited test laboratory. The collected waste which has been shown not to be contaminated with carcinogenic fibres is to be taken over for further disposal by a commissioned company. The annual quantity is estimated based on the tendency of development in previous years, with approximately 150 Mg of waste per year to be expected.
