TENDER DESCRIPTION

The existing fire station building of the City of Müllheim i.M. is located in a cramped inner-city location on Hauptstraße in Müllheim i.M. The building, which requires refurbishment, is in an operationally unfavorable location and does not meet today's functional requirements of the fire service. Since refurbishing the existing buildings is not sensible from a technical and economic perspective as well as with regard to the unfavorable location, the facilities are to be housed at a new site. The City of Müllheim i.M. makes available, for implementation, a plot of land located favorably from a transport standpoint at the south-western approach to the city on the B3. To find the best solution for the additional space requirement and the functional requirements for the new construction of the fire station, the municipal council has decided to carry out a realization competition. The architectural firm BJW Architekten has been commissioned with the further planning.
