TENDER DESCRIPTION

The existing fire brigade building of the City of Müllheim i.M. is located in a constrained inner-urban area on Hauptstraße in Müllheim i.M. The building, which requires refurbishment, is situated in a location that is disadvantageous from an operational and deployment standpoint and does not meet today’s functional requirements of the fire brigade. Since refurbishing the existing buildings is not sensible from a technical and economic perspective and in view of the unfavorable location, the facilities are to be housed at a new site. For implementation, the City of Müllheim i.M. provides a site favorably located in terms of traffic at the south-western approach to the city on the B3. In order to find the best solution for the additional space requirements and the functional requirements for the new fire station, the municipal council has decided to conduct a realization competition. The architectural firm BJW Architekten has been commissioned with the further planning.
