TENDER DESCRIPTION

The existing fire service building of the City of Müllheim i.M. is located in a cramped inner-urban setting on Hauptstraße in Müllheim i.M. The building, which requires renovation, is situated in an operationally disadvantageous location and does not meet today’s functional requirements of the fire service. Since renovation of the existing buildings is not sensible from a technical and economic perspective and with regard to the unfavorable location, the facilities are to be housed at a new site. The City of Müllheim i.M. makes available a plot located favorably from a transport/traffic standpoint at the southwestern approach to the town on the B3 for implementation. To find the best solution for the additional space requirement and the functional requirements for the new fire station, the municipal council decided to conduct a realization competition. The architectural firm BJW Architekten has been commissioned with the further planning.
