The City of Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe plans the construction of a new fire station in Bad Homburg - Ober-Erlenbach, Vilbeler Straße 38, 61352 Bad Homburg vor der Höhe. GENERAL DESIGN DESCRIPTION The planned building is divided into three connected building sections. - a two-storey wing, - a single-storey connecting building, - vehicle hall with a two-storey technical area. The building is planned as a solid construction. Load-bearing and bracing components are to be executed in reinforced concrete and masonry. Non-load-bearing internal walls are planned as lightweight walls. The intermediate floor slabs and the ceilings over the upper floor (roof) of the wing, the connecting building and the technical spine in the vehicle hall are reinforced-concrete slabs. The roof of the vehicle hall is to be constructed as a timber structure. The building is founded on an elastically bedded reinforced concrete foundation slab on correspondingly prepared load-bearing subsoil. The roof structures are flat roofs executed as warm roofs with extensive landscaping on the top side.
