The city of Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe plans the new construction of a fire station in Bad Homburg - Ober-Erlenbach, Vilbeler Straße 38, 61352 Bad Homburg vor der Höhe. GENERAL DESIGN DESCRIPTION The planned building is divided into three connected building sections. - a two-storey structural member (bar) building, - a single-storey connecting building, - vehicle hall with a two-storey technical area. The building is planned as a solid construction (mass masonry). Load-bearing and bracing structural elements are to be executed in reinforced concrete and masonry. Non-load-bearing internal walls are planned as lightweight partition walls. The intermediate floors and the ceilings above the upper floor (roof) of the structural member (bar), the connecting building and the technical spine in the vehicle hall are reinforced concrete slabs. The roof of the vehicle hall is to be built as a timber structure. The building is founded on an elastically bedded reinforced concrete foundation slab on a suitably prepared load-bearing subsoil.
