The city of Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe plans the new construction of a fire station in Bad Homburg - Ober-Erlenbach, Vilbeler Straße 38, 61352 Bad Homburg vor der Höhe. GENERAL DESIGN DESCRIPTION The planned building is divided into three connected building parts: - a two-storey block (wing), - a one-storey connecting building, - vehicle hall with a two-storey technical area. The building is planned as a solid construction (masonry/reinforced concrete). Load-bearing and stabilising structural components are executed in reinforced concrete and masonry. Non-load-bearing interior walls are planned as lightweight partition walls. The intermediate floors (storey ceilings) and the ceilings above the upper storey (roof) of the block, the connecting building, and the technical spine in the vehicle hall are reinforced concrete slabs. The roof of the vehicle hall is executed as a timber structure. The building will be founded on an elastically bedded reinforced concrete foundation slab on suitably prepared load-bearing subsoil.
