TENDER DESCRIPTION

DEGES plans and builds, on behalf of Autobahn GmbH, the A44 in the area from AS Waldkappel to the Wommener Dreieck. As part of this new-build, the Holstein tunnel is to be constructed in VKE C231 between the Sontra-West and Sontra-Mitte interchange points. The Holstein tunnel receives one tube per direction of travel. With a length of approximately 1,650 m each, the tunnel will be equipped in full compliance with RE-ING 3-3, as well as with an expanded traffic engineering equipment system in accordance with RVABS. Due to the generally high extent of operating and traffic engineering equipment in tunnel structures, this section therefore results in a structure with high energy consumption and corresponding requirements for the infrastructure of the local energy supplier. In addition, the energy consumption leads to significant shares of operating costs and the CO2 balance of the tunnel structure.
