TENDER DESCRIPTION

The construction measure is a project of the Federal Republic of Germany - Federal Motorways Administration, carried out by DEGES - Deutsche Einheit Fernstraßenplanungs- und -bau GmbH, branch office Düsseldorf. In the further course of the performance description, DEGES is referred to as the Client (AG). The Heumar motorway junction (AD) forms part of the south-eastern Cologne motorway ring and connects the A3, A4 and A59 motorways. The existing structures, some of which were built in the 1930s, are deteriorating. For the purposes of comprehensive and long-term optimisation, it has therefore been decided to reorganise the entire Heumar motorway junction together with the main direction carriageways. An environmental construction supervision (UBB) is to be used to prepare the project and to accompany it throughout. The necessary protection, avoidance and mitigation measures for protecting nature and the landscape are set out in the landscape management accompanying plan and in the environmental specialist documents.
