TENDER DESCRIPTION
Within the state operation Data and Information, VMware vSphere has been used for many years as a software solution for the virtualization of systems. The procured server systems, data backup and storage systems are designed to be compatible with this software solution. Employees are trained accordingly and the operating processes have been adapted to the required function. A change of technology, which—despite all mandatory framework conditions—continues to be examined even currently, would not be economical within an envisaged consideration period of a few years and is in part also not technically feasible, which is why this invitation to tender is carried out manufacturer- and product-specific. Red Hat's license model provides packages for 4, 16 or 64 cores.
