TENDER DESCRIPTION

Within the state enterprise Data and Information, VMware vSphere has been used for many years as a software solution for virtualizing systems. The procured server systems, the data backup and storage systems are designed to ensure compatibility with this software solution. The employees are correspondingly trained and the operating processes are adapted to the required function. A change of technology, which—despite all mandatory framework conditions—is always and even currently being further evaluated, would not be economically feasible in a foreseeable period of just a few years and, in part, would also not be technologically implementable, which is why this tender is conducted in a manufacturer- and product-specific manner. The Redhat licensing model provides packages for 4, 16 or 64 Cores.
