TENDER DESCRIPTION

The assignment includes archaeological excavation studies in the improvement area of the road alignment of the road project Vt 25 Meltola–Mustio for the archaeological sites and areas identified and verified in the field inventory carried out in 2013, to the extent that they have not previously been examined by excavations to the extent required by the National Board of Antiquities (Museovirasto). The lump-sum portion includes the charcoal kiln sites protected by the Antiquities Act and undated earth structures located in the road improvement area, including research, documentation, and excavation to such an extent that the sites can be released for road construction. In this assignment, as an option, there are also any additional investigation sites that will be clarified during the autumn of 2026 (additional findings from laser airborne scanning / increased charcoal kiln sites).
