TENDER DESCRIPTION

The assignment includes archaeological excavation studies of archaeological sites and areas discovered and verified in the field inventory carried out for the road project Vt 25 Meltola-Mustio in 2013, within the improved road alignment area, to the extent that they have not previously been studied by excavations in the scope required by the Finnish Heritage Agency (Museovirasto). The lump-sum part includes charcoal hearths and unassigned earth structures protected by the Ancient Monuments Act located within the road improvement area, including research, documentation and excavation to such an extent that the sites can be released for road construction. In this assignment, possible additional investigation targets to be clarified during the autumn of 2026 are also included as an option (additional observations from laser aerial scanning / increased charcoal hearths).
