TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency invites you to tender for the construction contract "Road 4 Vestonmäki section, Joutsa and Toivakka, ST contract." The contract includes construction design and construction to the extent defined in the invitation to tender and its annexed documents. The project area is located on the busy main road 4 within the municipalities of Joutsa and Toivakka. Main road 4 (E75) is a nationally and internationally important north-south highway connection and Finland's most significant connection from the metropolitan area to Northern Finland via Central Finland. Main road 4 is an important part of Finland's main road trunk network (service level class I) and belongs to the TEN-T core network. Main road 4 carries a very large amount of long-distance heavy traffic, transporting, among others, goods important to commerce, industry, and security of supply. The contract includes the improvement of main road 4 in the municipalities of Joutsa and Toivakka, at Vestonmäki. The main road will mostly be improved at its current location.
