TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency requests your tender for the construction contract "Highway 4 Vestonmäki section, Joutsa and Toivakka, design and build contract". The contract includes construction design and construction to the extent defined in the request for tender and the documents attached thereto. The project area is located on the busy Highway 4 in the municipalities of Joutsa and Toivakka. Highway 4 (E75) is a nationally and internationally important north-south road connection and Finland's most significant link from the Helsinki metropolitan area through Central Finland to Northern Finland. Highway 4 is an important part of Finland's main road network (service level class I) and belongs to the TEN-T core network. Highway 4 carries a very large amount of long-haul heavy traffic transporting, among others, goods important for commerce, industry, and security of supply. The contract includes the improvement of Highway 4 in the municipalities of Joutsa and Toivakka, at the Vestonmäki section. The highway will be improved mainly along its current alignment.
