TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Contracting Authority has the right to manage the construction of the D1 motorway, which includes, in accordance with Section 12(5) of Act No. 13/1997 Coll., on land transport routes, as amended by later regulations (hereinafter referred to as the “Roads Act”), a motorway rest area “Osek” located at km 289.3 on the left side of the D1 motorway, placed on plot no. 1628/1 in the cadastral area of Osek nad Bečvou (hereinafter referred to as the “Rest Area”). The Contracting Authority is interested in ensuring that at the Rest Area, the concessionaire implements and subsequently operates charging stations for heavy electric vehicles within the charging park, which will ensure that D1 motorway users have access to supplementary alternative fuels, primarily for electric vehicles with the highest permitted gross mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes. By awarding this concession, the Contracting Authority also aims, inter alia, to meet the conditions set out in Regulation (EU) 2023/1804 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13.9.2023 on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure and repealing Directive 2014/94/EU (hereinafter referred to as the “AFIR Regulation”).
