Wettbewerb Neugestaltung des Lippegartens

TENDER DESCRIPTION

The background to the invitation is the Integrated Urban Development Concept (ISEK), which was developed in the period from June 2024 to July 2025. This provides for the redesign of the Lippegarten in the historic old town of Lemgo as a central urban development measure. Implementation is planned by the end of 2030 and is to be carried out with the help of urban development funding. To prepare the submission of the funding application, a partial ISEK with a prioritized action programme is currently being developed, in which the enhancement of the Lippegarten is anchored as a core measure. The subject area of the competition is the Lippegarten including the adjacent streetscapes, with a total area of around 3,000 m². In addition to the market square, the Lippegarten is the largest town square centrally located in the old town. It forms the link between the Engelbert-Kaempfer-Gymnasium (EKG) located to the south and the pedestrian zone adjacent to the north-east.
