TENDER DESCRIPTION

After the fire incident of 13 May 2025, the city of Erkrath, represented by the Immobilienmanagement (Property Management), Department 65 (hereinafter the “contracting authority”), intends to rebuild the school centre at Rankestraße 4-6 in Erkrath. A grammar school (Gymnasium) and a secondary modern school (Realschule) are affected. As a result of the fire incident, both schools are no longer usable and must be replaced by new buildings. The contracting authority intends to have a four-form entry grammar school and a three-form entry secondary modern school, together with outdoor facilities, planned and built on a turnkey basis in a modern learning environment (cluster formation) and with additional special areas such as, for example, an auditorium (Aula), a cafeteria (Mensa) and teaching areas, and to have them commissioned, adjusted and kept ready for operation (general contractor award).
