TENDER DESCRIPTION

The City of Essen, represented by the Office for Roads and Traffic, hereinafter referred to as the contracting authority, awards winter service tasks on pedestrian facilities in the City of Essen. The winter service work within the city area is awarded in three sub-lots (North, Central, and South). The pedestrian facilities concerned mainly consist, within the built-up area, of important crossing points over or along roads of major traffic importance, sidewalks on and under bridges, as well as important pedestrian connections in squares and pedestrian zones, as well as walkable connecting paths, including staircases and overpasses. The applicable regulations are those of the municipal statute on street cleaning and winter service and on the collection of street cleaning and winter service fees (Street Cleaning and Winter Service Statute) in its respective applicable version. This statute is usually adopted in its current version by the City Council of Essen in the last quarter of each year.
